Murder is considered one of the most violent crimes a person can commit. Because of its severity, the public generally believes the suspect who is accused of the murder is guilty regardless of the outcome of the legal proceedings. A person’s reputation can be ruined for the rest of their lives, so it is critical for the accused to know their legal rights during murder proceedings and do whatever it takes to improve the outcome of their case.

A Memphis man has been charged with murder in connection with a homicide that happened this past July in the Frayser area. The suspect has been charged with first-degree murder in perpetration of aggravated robbery for allegedly shooting and killing another man. The victim was found in a car in an apartment building’s parking lot. The victim’s pants, shoes and cell phone were also missing. A witness identified the accused as allegedly being involved in the murder.

A person who is accused of murder has an uphill battle in legal proceedings, public relations and future employment. High fines, significant jail time and even the death penalty can be catastrophic to a person who is convicted of murder. It is important for those accused of murder and other violent crimes to know what their legal rights are.

A legal professional skilled in criminal defense can help determine the best way to defend an individual’s case, investigate the crime scene from another angle, seek scientific evidence to help the defendant’s case and ultimately to help the individual tell his side of the story. It is important for the accused to do whatever it takes to improve the outcome of their case.
