Memphis residents fed up with violent crime

Murder is generally regarded as the ultimate crime. In Memphis, those who are accused of murder can face an uphill battle in court because of how aggressively prosecuted their case can be. Memphis residents do not have a tolerance for those who are accused of murder and even a brief mention that a person is a murder suspect can ruin their personal and professional reputation.

Residents in an apartment complex in Whitehaven say the violent crime in their area needs to stop. This past Friday morning a man was robbed and shot to death outside of his apartment complex. Police say a person entered the apartment and shot the man several times. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Earlier in the week an attempted burglary occurred in the same area. Police are still searching for the suspect in the murder.

Those who are accused of murder can feel frightened and alone. The media portrays these people as monsters who need to be locked up for life or even face the death penalty. If a person is facing serious violent crime charges they may want to speak with a legal professional skilled in criminal defense. An attorney can help a defendant tell his or her side of the story.

For those facing serious criminal charges it is important to know that these charges should not be taken lightly. A conviction can mean serious penalties including life in prison or even the death penalty. Defendants have legal rights and a criminal defense attorney can help them defend these rights.
